Deceptive advertising, horrible service, refused advertised coupon special ripoff

Not going to be long winded about this because I am so tired of dealing with this company. I have been a customer for about six years, and have occasionally run into poor service. I have dealt with it over the years because of the convenience of the location to my home, but after the last few times I am tired of the "Poor Quality" of service from Quality Plus!

The last five times I have taken my clothes in I have had a problem each time. There seem to be two main problems that I will focus on.

The first problem is not all of my clothes consistently arrived at the location when they were supposed to, so I was told to check back. I feel that if the company says that my clothes will be back at a certain day and time and they do not have them, then the company has the responsibility to make sure I get my clothes. I shouldn't have to do the work of calling or coming back in every day to find out if my clothes are back.

The second problem I believe is border line Consumer Fraud. I always use a coupon that they advertise 20% off your total dry cleaning bill or a Max $10.00 discount. Well I started checking my receipts before I would pay and found that I was not receiving the full discount. This has happened almost every time I have taken my clothes in the last 5 times.

The clerks would handle the situation differently on each occasion, because usually it was a different clerk, even though I go at the same time of the day every time. (I found out this is not because they are rotating shifts, it is because they can't keep their staff and have to hire new people at least every month it seems)

Anyway usually after arguing with the clerk I would finally get my full discount. This last time however, the young girl refused to give me the discount. She tried to explain to me that even though I brought all of my clothes in at the same time and when I pick them all up (if they are all there) they give me a lump sum or total amount due, that doesn't matter. What matters is they can supposedly only put so many items on a single ticket and then they are only allowed to apply the discount to one ticket.

I don't know the exact figures, but as best I can I will try to explain. If I bring in 10 pair of cotton pants to be dry cleaned, they can only put maybe five pair on one ticket and the other five pair has to go onto a separate ticket. Well according to this clerk they can only give me the discount on one ticket or five pair of pants, even though my total order consisted of 10 pair. I end up only getting around a $5 discount when I should have gotten $10 (they charge just over $5 to dry clean each pair of pants).

Well after going round and round with the girl, I decided I had had enough and would just pay the bill and take my clothes and business elsewhere (Going to start using Sun Country Cleaners on a recommendation)!

I hope that by posting this, others will take the time to review their receipts and determine if they too are being duped, cheated, or even defrauded by Quality Plus Cleaners. If you find that you are, please take the time to post something on here. Maybe with enough people complaining, something legally can be done against Quality Plus Cleaners.
