I called Cricket's customer service and asked them to discontinue my automatic bill pay. The gentleman that I spoke with was very helpful with this transaction. Two weeks later the amount for the two phones on my account was pulled from my account anyway, which caused a domino effect in my account. I now had 8 non-sufficient funds charges on my account in the amount of $206.00. Not to mention the $110.00 for the cell phones. I called customer service and they told me that the gentleman I spoke with just updated my information, not changed my information. I told them I felt that they are responsible for my nsf charges, and that I wanted a refund. They told me that they could not give me a refund since I owed them the $110.00 for my last months bill. Now my contract states that all Cricket customers pay in advance for their service not a month behind, as I am now being told.
So not only am I out $316.00 and I also have no phone service. I have had my account with them for 4 years, I have never had any problems until this.
This happened about a month ago, and now just yesterday I received a postcard in the mail asking me to come back and I would get one month for free.
I have called the Better Business Bureau and they have said they will help me try to rectify the situation.
