Ripoff 45 day money ack guarentee is not honored!

I am currently a "consultant" with Arbonne. At this point I have decided not to pursue this as a business, however I do like the results I have had with the products.

The first item, and my push to decide NOT to pursue this business is the lack of service when it comes to delivery. Here is the history. On April 23rd, I placed and order and part of it did not ship until May 14th. I was told due to the popularity of one of their training events, they had an unexpected influx of consultants, and they did not have enough inventory to meet their current orders. Okay, fine, I assume this will be rectified quickly.

On May 3rd, I placed another order. Again there were products backordered. Some of these backordered items did not ship until JUNE 13th!!! This is over a month from the original order date. Each time I called to get a status as to when this would be in stock again, I was given a two week time frame. I would call back, and they would extend it another 2 weeks. At this point I have to go back to my clients and explain why it takes over a month for their orders to come in... Not a pleasant experience!

Since I was discouraged by my experience, I decided to return my unused products that I was going to use for samples and/or testing during classes. On June 10th, I went online to get a RMA # (return merchandise authorization). I packed up my items and sent them priority mail the next day with my RMA clearly written on the outside of the box and a printed copy of the RMA email inside.

Return processing takes 4-6 weeks. Fine, I wait 4 weeks and nothing. So I call to see if they have at least recieved the package. Here is where I begin to hear various stories of why nothing has happened.

The first call brings me to a rep who asks me if I am sure I have the correct RMA number as it is not showing in the system. I have the email and a printed copy, yes I am quite sure it is correct.

She informs me she cannot do anything because they do not have the package.

Then I call later that day and get a different rep. This one informs me that when I receive an RMA number via the internet, it does not show up in their system until the process the return. So it is possible my package is there somewhere and it just has not been processed yet. She recommends I call back in a week or two to follow up. Sure thing.

I call back in one week. I am told that I should have had a tracking number and there is nothing they can do for me. I ask for a manager/supervisor. This person tells me that it can take 4-6 weeks from the time they receive the package, to please follow up in a week or two more.

Here I wait... I am going to call again on Friday and more than likely I will hear more of the same.

I was looking on the internet for other experiences. I saw one person filed a claim with her credit card company to get her refund. I called my bank as I used my check card. I am informed that I have missed my 60 day window to file a formal complaint. But of course, why would this process be timely!

So at this point, I am out 250 dollars, I have apparently no recourse except to vent on this page. I am really distressed over it since I do really enjoy the products, but how can you endorse a company that treats its consultants this way?

I suppose my next stop will be to see if I can file something with the BBB.
