Fraudulent billing practice, rude customer service reps

It all started from the beginning. My husband went a got a two year contract for a cell phone for him. He was told it would cost 39.99 a month plus tax. Not once has our bill even been close. When questioned about this we were told 39.99 was the first month introductory price but ours had been more because of fees, taxes and a whole list of other things he was never told.

Next came the junk phone. The first phone my husband had broke within 1 month. It would turn off by it self it which they said was due to dust in the phone. (my works construction). After 50.00 and insurance my husband received the same phone but at the recommendation of the Alltel worker got a case that would fix the dust/dirt problem.

At the same time he got hooked into adding a line. Which we now know extended our contract and were not told. 2nd phone broke due to excessive dust. Alltel rep recommended a phone that would be good for a construction worker and was guaranteed not be hurt by the elements it cost 150.00 on top of the 50.00 for the insurance.

Two months later phone does not work. Took it back Alltel said that we had used the insurance too many times and would have to buy at our cost a new phone. I explained that the sales rep told us that the phone would stand up to the elements that customer service rep said he shouldn't have made that guarantee and they could not honor it. He suggested another phone which we paid 200.00 that was strong enough for construction. We have not had problems with that phone... Yet. And all was right in the universe until we started receiving calls to increase our package. Which we did.

Then the calls kept coming asking us to increase our packages. I refused and kept watch over our minutes used and text messaging. A couple of months ago I noticed charges for 411. I asked to have them remover this option from my phone. They refused. I disputed these charges (3-5) a month for months. I was told there was nothing that could be done.

Then this month we received a bill for 120.00 extra for going over our text messages and using 411. I have explained to more people then I care to remember that there has been a mistake. My husband and I do not use 411 and we watch our messages. They refuses to listen. I have been hung up on, I have been called a liar, I have been told they don't make mistake and if I want proof that those 411 calls and text messages came from my phone then I would have to sue. Until then pay the bill or face other charges. Thanks Alltel for your crappy serivce and crappy phones
