This happened to me, I don't want it to happen to anyone else. It also happened to my friend, Tracy, so for two people, to have the exact same thing happen, is more than mere coincidence. This law office is a total scam! They are supposed to help people (who have endured sexual harassment, wrongful termination, etc). One of their lawyers will meet with you (basically listen to your story) for an hour, and then a few days later, they will call you and say that you have a case and want to meet with you again to discuss what options you have. The next day they will cash your $200 check, and then you will receive a call from their office girl saying that either Mr. Favaro or Gorman want to cancel your appointment and one of them will call you back with more details. So, you say ok. Then, you get a rude call and certified letter saying that they now have changed their mind and made a decision not to represent you and wish you the best of luck.
I think this is how they make all their money - they probably never take on any "real" cases. If they meet with 7 to 8 people a day, that's like $1600 each.!! $200 for an hour's worth of nothing is certainly profitable. I would have rather talked to a minister or priest about my work problems if I knew this was the case. At least it might have been tax-deductible...
