I have just recently become disabled, and have only the social security check, and money from my parents trust in the way of Certificates of Deposit that mature. The trustee has been stealing money from the trust for quite some time, unfortunately I never had enough money to hire an attorney to help me with this matter. I went to one of the legal sites, and posted my situation, in hopes of finding an attorney that will take the case on contingency. Gorman and Jones responded. I felt confident when I met with him because he had religious artifacts in his office, and I being a firm believer in God was foolish and naive to think that he was. Their is one piece of property that was not in the trust, but belonged to my deceased mother. Gorman requested a $2,500.00 retainer, and for me to pay all court costs, and he would receive one third of whatever he recovers, which means the money that was stolen not the certificates of deposit. He screwed things up by believing that the property belonged to my father, but Maricopa County stated it was my mothers. Even though the trustee is a thief, she has been sending money from the certificates of deposit from the trust when they mature. Two certificates of deposit were due in July and another in August, I did not recieve any of them, and kept calling gorman and jones, for three weeks to find out what had happened to the money, which I count on to live with. I had an appointment with him, he cancelled that morning the same day of the appointment. He then tells me that the money is in a neutral account, that is one story, then tells me it is safe, then states that the trustees attorney has it, then states that the court has it, then states that Andrew Gorman has two of the CDS. This totals around $64,000.00 my share as one of the beneificairies would be around $16,000.00 I still have not received the money, nor have they filed a motion to have the money released as they stated in person, verbally and in writing. They have done many things behind my back and have not consulted me at all. I still do not know where the $64,000. Is but I get an email telling me they have this private investor that wants to buy the condo for $25,000.00 and states that the other condos in the complex, that are the same are selling for $31,000.00 he says that this way I would have money from that, but I did not ask him to find a buyer for the condo, but have on many occasions asked him to file a motion to release my money from the $64,000.00, that has not happened, today I received an email stating they would send me a copy of a cd, what the heck will I do with a copy I cannot cash a copy. They have just about ignored all Cannon of Ethics that attorneys are supposed to comply with. This has caused great emotional, physical and financial hardship on me, and has made me so depressed I can barely get out of bed. I do not know what to do, the AZ Bar has done nothing.
