Moonstruck Chocolate Co. Sent product to the billing address instead of the shipping address. The shipping address was given, but when I spoke to Ellen Tadros, the customer service representative, I was told that there was a small box that needed to be checked for the product to be shipped to the shipping address.
I explained to Ms. Tadros that I had chosen a company in Oregon because that is where the recipient lived. Tadros initially told me that there was nothing they could do. I told her if they knew about the flaw in the online system that they should fix it and not let people continue to make the same mistake. Ms. Tadros then said that she would talk to her manager, but he was in meetings all day.
The next day I was sent an email saying that they could not replace the product or refund the product or shipping. They stated that they sent a confirmation email, but I did not receive an email with their company name attached. I do not make it a practice of opening messages that I am not familiar with due to the possibility of receiving a virus.
I spent $16 on shipping, the product arrived in California, and I had to ship it back to Oregon. I spent $60 on a $36 box of chocolate. I felt that the company did not provide very good service, nor did I receive an apology for the mix-up.
