I first saw this site and thought what a unique and fun site where I can be honest and meet someone who is similar to me and go from there. Hey at $25 per month, I thought why not for a couple of months. How wrong I was.
I started a while back with a simple monthly subscription. I diligently placed my profile information and pictures up. Then I started the process of "searching" for ladies. What e-mail I received back was completely different in context. I would send one with the basics and asking to chat; I would receive a reply that had nothing to do with what was in the body of my e-mail. I had zero luck with ever speaking or meeting anyone. I cancelled.
Just this month I checked my Hotmail Junk box and found several e-mails from AM members. I thought I would take another look. Nothing had changed as far as the registration or password, so I was able to go right in. BUT< there were 9 pages of e-mails dating back to April 2nd. WOW, I finally got some response. I started reading them and found all of them were from my state and not only that, but basically the same 5-6 cities and all of them over 185 miles away. How strange I thought, but how good. Let's read a few and I did. I decided to give it one month to see if I replied to some of them what would happen
Well, I spent almost 4 hours on yesterday & evening and replied to over 25 "ladies". I asked very generic questions and stated I had just got back on the site as a member, was looking to chat and possibly get together. Today, 6-6-07, I received 10 responses. The kicker was that noe of them came back giving me their real name, two I said I'm not interested in came back with getting laid connotations, and NONE of them addressed the subjects I had written to them.
I also tried to IM with a few of the ladies that were supposedly on line. None of them came back with an IM to me. AND, get this, when the IM comes up it also tells where the person is located, well 2 of the WV women were now out of state, one in Miami, FL and another in Hartford, CT. HOw, I ask, is that possible for their Profile to say Charlston, WV and the IM to say Miami, FL?
Well suffice it to say, I know this is a Rip-Off and warn anyone from wasting their time and money. I try to be a trusting person and would have liked to believe this site could be good for me, but the facts speak for themselves. I truly believe that these people have no God or honesty in their bones. I feel for all those individuals who were hurt by this type of scam. I agree with Alexander from Hayward, it is indeed "despicable".
I read another Blog on this site today and see where the person has done some research and found the owners to be in England using the same women and men from other countries to respond or send out beginning & respone e-mails to entice people to stay on, BUT nothing ever happens.
When you hit the Terms & Conditions it tells you they are owned by Deniro Merketing, LLC and have 9 different websites all based on this same premise. You will find in Section E where they say they usae "online Cupids" to stimulate conversation with users. They must use a lot of them!
Well, this is enough. Just BEWARE!!
