Complaint / Review
AmateurMatch.com (a Subsidiary Of Deniro Marketing LLC)
Automated responses to personal ads are covered in web site terms and agreement. None Nationwide

Like many other complainants, I have been misled by AmateurMatch.com, but the web site terms page includes information which, had I taken the time to read beforehand, would have been enough to make me not take up membership of the website.

As it was, I joined as a free member.
I was only intent on trying out the website to see what it could do for me, so did not complete my profile and left out anything beyond simple age, height, location.
At this point I'll admit that I am in my mid-50's.
Over the next two weeks I recieved at least 5 emails each day from apparent female members of the website.

I was surprised that the contacts were from women with such a wide range of ages... I was getting arousing contacts from 20 year olds who wanted to meet me and whose words indicated that the senders had a serious attraction to me based upon my profile.

But the terms of the website clearly state (section e, para 2) that OnlineCupids (OC) exist who are not real profiles but are set up solely to encourage use and participation in the website.

But responses to OC's (as with anyone who might ber a real person) are not guaranteed by AmateurMatch. The terms include words that demonstrate that the web site is set up to entertain.

For me, the website has no entertainment purpose per se, but I viewed it as a possible way of finding a future partner or, at least, friend.

So, for me, the love affair with AmateurMatch is over before it began.
Deniro Marketing, the organization who runs the site, has a good many similar websites.
It seems that far from providing a service, it is a way of providing an income.
I should not be surprised in today's society.

However, for any others who are contemplating using AmateurMatch, here is one observation.

The responses I received from the Online Cupids were transparently bogus.

Each user name is an adjective followed by a name... For example, lovelyrita, arousingannie, etc. Might be examples (I made those names up).

Be warned, if you want something real and not only by another's definition of on-line "entertainment", Amateurmatch is not the place you want to be.
