Terrible Billing and Customer Service

If you plan to go out of town for an extended period of time and are using Free Choice Communications for your phone service, make sure you pay your phone bill. If your bill goes beyond 19 days past due they will cut off your service.

Our company found this out the hard way when we inadvertently missed a payment and we became 20 days past due on a bill that was less then $140.00. Without ANY notification, they promptly discounted all of our business lines.

We immediately contacted the company, paid via credit card to restore the service and were forced to pay a $30.00 per line restoration "fee." We were then told that they would put a note to "expedite" work to restore our service and that it would be restored within 15 minutes to 1 hour.

We called a second time after 2 hours and were told it would be 10 more minutes. We called a third time and were told that we were misinformed by the previous representatives and that they are told to tell customers that restoration takes 24 to 48 hours. We have been in business for 11 years and have always paid our bills.

For a communications company to operate within such tight perameters regarding billing, have the power to disconnect business lines without notification, and to have such a pathetically slow response time is inexcuseable.
