I received a phone call stating they were in fact America's Choice Reader. They gave me this deal of 14.65 a month for two magazines and I would receive a $1,000 dollar shopping spree. It sounded good at the time so I gave them are card number. She was talking so fast it was over before it started. After we thought about it we noticed the phone number came up unknown. So we immediately canceled our credit card later to find out they were a scam. We received an envelope in the mail from America's Choice reader.
1- First thing I noticed, Serving readers for 30 years, 1975 were is 07
2- Charged me for 5 Magazines
1- 2yrs, 2-5yrs, 3-1yr, 4-5yrs, 5-4yrs
3- Now instead of 14.67 it's now 58.27 a
month for 14 months. Total 874.05
They also stated I would be paying shipping charges.
So I turned the form over to find you can cancel and I can do so by Midnight May/09/07.
That would have been fine except how can you when the envelope is post marked May/07/09 and I did not receive it till May/11/09. What a Joke, One thing I can't stand is a thief.
Not one word of this was mentioned over the phone and when I tried to contact them they would not answer the one phone number that worked. All it stated was call back during business hours in which that was Thurs, Fri, Sat I tried to contact them. So I emailed them through their website demanding them to shut the account down.
It stated and I quote, "Thank you for taking the time to contact us through our website. According to our records your account is not yet a processed order. Please contact our member service Department for new orders at 1-800-288-4941". When I tried to e-mail them through a direct e-mail the e-mail did not exist.
I have now been receiving calls Continuously where you can hear them but they won't talk, every time I say "your busted" they hang up.
Stay away from America's Choice Reader they are a fraud. After reading RIP OFF REPORT It sounds like these people need to be shut down for good. Lynch Mob Justice lol.
