All Staff Irresponsible, idiots, liars, bad business practices!

I used to be a customer w/Aaron's up until 2005 when my hubby and I paid off our account.

We basically purchased our entire home from these people.in October we decide to purchase a big screen tv and shelf unit to put it in. We had the manage specially order one for us because the one we wanted was not in the store, apparently with as nice as it was they had to specially order it. Anyways so it came with no problems and they delivered it, they (two young guys) started assembling it when they advised me they didnt have the proper tools, they started trying alternate ways of doing so and finally managed to get it together. They slid the TV in and all was well.

Well a week goes by and we hadnt been home and decided to hook up all of our electronics DVD Player and Satellite, my husband pulls the TV out and lo and behold the whole top portion of the shelf unit falls on his head. Now this shelf wasn't some cheap partical board, it is solid oak! It fell on his head and cracked it wide open! Along with this everything on that shelf was all of our wedding memorabilia, wedding glasses, frames candles etc. My husband was hunched over with glass and everything else on top of him, I had to dig him out! When he stood up he had blood pouring from his head and when we looked at the shelf the brackets that were holding the shelf were not screwed in, they took the plastic pegs and just fit them in the holes and set the shelf on it! OMG needless to say my husband had to be rushed to the ER and had 5 staples placed in his head.

Two days later our second payment was due, I went into the store to make the payment (before all this happened I actually called the store after the guys left my house because the assembly job looked shady, I was told the manager would call me back to discuss it, he never did and the guy who took the message was the one who had just left my house and assembled the shelf) anyways so I spoke with the manager who actually happened to be the district manager he advised me he would credit our acct for one payment and apologized for the problem. He advised he would have someone call me to make an appointment for someone to come out and do the assembly the right way, it took weeks before I got a call!

Within a few days my husband started to act strangely not being his usual self and extremely grouchy, we found out that my husband had a very serious concussion. It was so bad he would black out and have seizures. I came home one day and found him unconscience on our bathroom floor, and he was blue! Well after this we got an attorney and let him deal with it, after a year we got about 7 thousand dollars out of these bastards for pain and suffering!

Before the suit came along we decided it would be best if we paid everything off, the shelf and TV, so in April of b2005 we wrote them a check and paid them off, we were told by management our balance over the phone and in person when I wrote them the check what we owed, we paid it and we received our certificate of ownership for both items!

It was done with and we moved, in summer of 2006 i convinced my husband to go back and just take a look at what they had, he obliged and we went in, we spoke with Jauquin the manager this time around. I asked him to look up our account and see if we are still in good standings with them since we did sue them and all. He proceeded to tell me that no you owe us money and you need to pay it now! I said excuse me how much and how! He said for a shelf unit, I said oh the one we paid off a year ago that we sued you for! I said I have the cashed check that shows it was paid and the certificate of ownership! How much do you say I owe? He refused to tell me! Well if I owe you money how can I pay it if I dont know how much! He then told me to get out! I said fine and proceeded to call other stores in the area when I got home to get info, nobody would help me, I have called corporate numbers, all he district manager numbers and to this day not one returned call! I even faxed a copy of all the paper work to Juaquin and he has yet to say he recieved it and tells me over and over again to refax it, so I mailed it to him certified and guess what he signed for it! Yet still says he has not gotten it! Does anyone out their have any info on how to contact these people, I am about to sue them again if their is anyone wanting to get in on a class action suit!

One more thing when I asked Juaquin why I hadn't been notified of the past due bill, he said we couldn't find you, BS the idiots actually moved me into my new house, I told them to move the furniture for me so that in case it was damaged it would still be covered under their shitty warranty! I need to contact these people I have been trying to for 9 months now and no one will respond, if you know a way please let me know!
