Scam and rip off. This is about a bad experience I had with the dating site TangoWire, Gofindfast.com
I had a profile on there. I wasn't having any luck meeting anyone so I thought I'd try posting a missed connection' type ad/text.
I didn't know if I could post that on there or not.in it I said I was hoping to find someone I liked through the site and if he was single and looking to contact me because I liked him or if someone who knew him could pass it on.
After that I decided to delete my entire profile because I didn't want to use the site anymore because I figured no one would know him on there anyway and because there was no one decent on here to meet. I logged into my profile to do so.
When I did I got a message from Tango saying my profile was deleted and that they were herby issuing me a formal request not to cease and desist using the site anymore now or in the future. And if I ignored that request they would take strict legal and civil action against me, and that my actions and movement on our site will be tracked from this point forward and will assist our company in any legal recourse we will have against you.
First of all, there was no reason in the world for them to threaten me like that. I did nothing wrong with my text. I meant no harm with it or do anything wrong. I had good intentions. There was nothing harassing, disrespectful, threatening, harmful, illegal, vulgar, or criminal of any kind.
They were getting completely carried away with threatening me like that over text like that. They made me sound like I was a terrorist, a murdered, a child molester, a hardened criminal, soliciting drugs or minors, posting pornography non of which I am/did. Who do they think they are to do that? That was threat was completely unnecessary and there was no reason for that and no need for it. I don't know what was so horrible about that that they had to threaten me because of it. I didn't know I was committing such a horrible deed/crime.
Before this, I was being harassed by another member on the site. I told them this and they did nothing about it, even after they say they expect their members to act civil and within public order and he was not acting civil or within public order to me. They say that shouldn't be too much to ask, but when you ask them for help with something, you don't get it. They even left his profile on the site. And what he was doing was worse than my text. But me they are threatening legal actin against and to monitor my actions and movements on the site when I did nothing wrong and was not trying to do anything wrong.
They could have just asked me not to use the site anymore instead of threatening me like that. I did nothing threatening, but they are the ones threatening me. I don't appreciate being treated like a criminal over something like that. That is really very insulting when I am not a criminal and wasn't trying to do anything wrong, and it was uncalled for for them to threaten me like that. They are going to take strict legal action against me for an innocent profile like that? They don' t even just send an email to say they deleted the profile. They just wait for someone to log on there just so they can scare them with the above threatening message.
Maybe you can't post a missed connection type thing on this site, and that's all it was. But I don't think it is really necessary for them to threaten me because of something like that, and don't know why they honestly have to threaten legal action against me and to threaten to monitor my movements on this site if I use it again because of it, as if I were a sex offender you were monitoring, or a spy, or a convicted felon, none of which I am. I didn't know I was doing something so horribly awful. They make me sound like a terrorist.
It's really unfair for them to threaten me like that just because of that text. There was no need to be so dramatic with that statement and fancy words like this is a herby formal request' and desist.' There's no reason for them to treat me like a criminal. They are not the FBI, The White House, or the secret service? They are just a dating site. I think they have some nerve scaring, threatening and upsetting people like that. I don't know who they think you are, or what kind of place that is and people are they to do that.
I don't know what gives them the right to threaten me and to herby formally request I not use and cease and desist to use the site again now or in the future, and to threaten to monitor my movements and actions on the site and threaten to take strict legal civil action against me if I ignore that formal request because of that simple innocent text? They have no business or right to imply or threaten me like I'm a criminal or terrorist because of that text, and what gives them the right to treat me like that, just because of that harmless text?
They could have just asked me not to use the site anymore, because here was no absolutely no reason and was unnecessary for them to scare me and threaten me to take strict legal action against me if I did as if I were a criminal, when I am not nor would I do anything criminal. I really think that they should change their business conduct. Be wary and use caution with these sites.
