I've been trying to resolve a dispute with MCI for over four months over the use of "free" calling cards for switching my long distance carrier to MCI. To MCI, free means $2.89 per minute.
Even after cancelling MCI long distance, I continue to receive monthly service charges.
After calling the customer service department numerous times (never getting the same person, of course), e-mailing the company, and writing letters, the issue remains unresolved. Oh, I did get a post card from MCI (such a personal way to deal with customers) stating their charges are legitimate and a credit would not be issued. I was told, "You should have read the fine print."
Once when I called MCI the customer service department, I overheard representative, James Burgner, tell one of his boiler room associates, "Man, I'm going to f*ck that dude up!"
I look forward to receiving my nightly calls from MCI demanding payment. I am doomed to be stuck in their call up service forever.
I have never missed paying any bill, nor I have I ever been late, but I refuse to be swindled by such an unscrupulous company as MCI
