Chris Prater ripoff dishonest fraudulent and unfair business practices

I'm just another person suckered by Merchant Lynx Services out of Canton, GA into entering into a 48 month contract with Lease Finance Group.

In early September I recieved a phone call from a person soliciting my busness, stating that a representative of Merchant Lynx Services named Chris Prater was going to be in my area and that they could save me money on my credit card processing.

On the 7th of September Chris Prater showed up at our store to go over processing with Merchant Lynx Services.
He looked over our terminal and past processing statements and told me that he could save me alot of money by switching to Merchant Lynx Services. Chris also informed me that my terminal was out of date and that i was paying larger fees on processing debit cards, because we wheren't doing pin bases entries and how costly that is. Chris had gone over the numbers and told me that he could save me around $800 with switching to Merchant Lynx Services and getting a new terminal through his company. Chris also told me that if i was not satisfied i could cancel the agreement in 30 days, or he would try and beat any other offers. He had me sign the 4 page Application/Agreement which Chris had already filled in all my info so all i had to do was sign. He at that time informed me that when he came back he would bring me a copy of what i had signed. Chris gave me his personal cell phone number to call if any problems or questions came up.

September 13th, Chris Prater came out and set up the new equipment and set up the processing. I asked him for our copy of the lease Application/Agreement and he said it was mailed out and i should have already recieved it or should be getting it any day. I also asked him again that even with this new equipment we would be saving money and he insured that we would and once again said, "If im not satisfied i had 30days to terminate the agreement or he would beat any other deals out there".

September 21st, Called Chris to inform him that I still haven't recieved my copy of the Application/Agreement, he informed me that he would call and have it sent out.

Early October I called Chris Prater and told him i still have yet to recieve my copy of the Application/Agreement. And wanted to terminate our Application/Agreement. He told me once again he would call the office and get a copy mailed out. I told him to just terminate it (I'm still in the 30 days i was informed i had to do so). Chris then apologized and said he would have the termination put through.

In the days following i tried calling Chris repeatedly with no returned calls. So on the 10th of October, I called Merchant Lynx Services to find out the status. The person that answered informed me that they had recieved no iformation on this matter, so i asked to talk to someone to have our account terminated. I was told that she was at lunch and to call back later. So i waited acouple hours called back and then was informed the person was gone for the day. I left my name and number and was told she would call me back.

October 11th, after recieving no call back i called Merchant Lynx Services talked to a customer service representative and informed her i still haven't recived my copy of the Application/Agreement and now just recieved my first processing statement to discover when added to my terminal costs i was paying double then in the past. And that i wanted to terminate my service. She told me that i would have to pay a $350 fee to terminate it. I informed her that Chris Prater told me on several occassions that I had 30 days to terminate the Application/Agreement. She then said that it was in the Lease Application/Agreement (that i still didn't have a copy of). I once again told her i didn't have a copy of it to even refer to and that was the reason in the first place I wanted to terminate. She said that she would send me out a copy and that was all that she could do.

I finally recieved a copy of on October 27th the Application/Agreement with several other pages attached to it that i never even seen. I also recived my bank statement to discover that Merchant Lynx Services was also charging me a $10 insurnace fee which i was never informed of.

It seems everytime I call either Chris Prater who tells me he will taking care of it, or Merchant Lynx Services who just hand me off to another person, are just giving me a run around. As they continue to charge me fees even though i stopped processing with them back in October.
And repeated phone calls to Chris Prater and Merchant Lynx Services go nowhere. And what little money i have goes to line their pockets.

The more I research this company I realize how many other people are dealing with the same issue with Merchant Lynx Services.

Sorry this is so long i have lots more documented.
Someone please help me out here.
