Business Malpractice, Blatant refusal to follow protocol, extremely badly damaged package, stolen merchandise. Seattle Washington

Two packages were shipped from the UPS store in Seattle, WA, on 1st street on the 13th of October. Package #1, weighing in at approximately 60lbs, contained 1 supertower Computer unit, Package 2, weighing approximately 32lbs, contained several business software CDs (Windows XP, Office, et cetera) as well as basic desk ornaments.

Package 1 arrives on time, but extremely badly damaged. All parts are unrecoverable on the PC, and damage claim was issued. Protocol for nontransportable (high damage) goods is to have an inspector come to the site. Protocol was violated, and package was taken from the site (Bertram, TX) without permission and shipped to the UPS store in Seattle.

Package 2 goes missing. It leaves the UPS store, reaches the UPS hub, where its noted as "Damaged or Missing Tag". Protocol in this situation is to send the package back to the store.instead, the package leaves seattle, reaches Colorado, then gets to Dallas, where it promptly drops off the radar. Contact is finally established with floor representatives at the dallas location, where the package is identified based on the CD wallet containing the software titles. Package is air-shipped from Dallas to Bertram, arrives weighing only 22lbs. Missing the entire CD wallet, 208 CDs.

Package 1 remains in seattle, as UPS refused to pay the package transfer costs. UPS store works (and still is working with) to help secure the package to its initial destination. Claim of 100$ is sent to the store without any disputability on my part, and used to transfer the package to my current location. The damage is extensive, and the system is 100% unrecoverable.

As of February 28th the data from the 32lb package has been purged from the UPS computer systems, no investigation towards the theft has taken place, and no further reimbursement has taken place. Its about 5.5 months going on this case, and I'm not exactly thrilled. Could use some justice on this one.
