For Thanksgiving in David Blaine, the magician, contracted the company I worked for to build a motorized human gyroscope for a stunt he was planning for Target Stores. The event was to take place in New York at Times Square. The company only had nine days to design and build the gyro from scratch. They did, and tried to test it on me in the last few minutes before packing it up and shipping it off. I refused to be a part of it, since I saw it fall apart on the first test. It was built without any engineering and tested within a four hour period. I, for one, know that you need to engineer something like this, and most importantly, test it for several days before placing a human life inside. Thank God it never made it's way to N.Y. David was spared this time. I hope he stays away from G & G.
