On Dec 17, I made Christmas purchases for my children, in cash. Knowing that young adults are hard to buy for, I always keep reciepts. I quit using Target for the same reason, but during shopping at Big Lots, I found some things that I thought my 3 children might like. I kept the reciepts... Just in case... As always! I sent them the items, and they did not need them. So in mid January, they sent them back to me. On the 3 Jan I went to the Fairburn Rd. Store to return them. The customer service reps were so rude, I couldn't believe it! Before I had a chance to say a word, they told me I was way too late, therefore stuck with them. I tried to explain that I did purchase early due to Christmas shopping I wasn't going to wait until the last minute, especially when they had to be sent off! I assumed that since I had a reciept, no problem. They told me that the reciept was only good for 30 days and even then, they can only go back to the original store. What difference does it make? I paid cash. My car was stolen and I had no transportation. But even then, what good is a reciept? They said I would be wasting my time by even going to the other store, because the 30days was over. I wouldn't even get a credit! They were rude and acted like I was bothering them! Now I am stuck with $60 worth of things I paid cash for, and have no use for. I won't shop there again! What can I do?
