Took money and never contacted me again! Ripoff

I am one of the many victims ripped off by the now infamous "Patent & Trademark Institute of America". After speaking with "Steve Bach" he assured me there were "several companies interested immediately" in manufacturing my idea. He called me incessantly and was very forceful in trying to acquire my money ($795 then $10,000) and once the money was acquired he wanted nothing to do with me.

Unfortunately for me I took out a loan for the invention being so confident that there would be a high probability of someone catching on (since it truly is something that would improve the quality of life for millions who are on U.S.interstates). Shortly thereafter, Hurricane Katrina hit my city of New Orleans, forcing me to go months without income or work being displaced.

When I contacted Steve Bach several months after the storm to confirm with him my new address and that I wasn't killed in the flood, he barely recognized who I even was and then directed me to some other agency that would "handle my case from that point on". At this point to "Mr. Bach" I was a completed sale, and he had the audacity to ask me, after I explained to him the calamity I had just experienced, TO ASK FOR MORE MONEY FOR A EUROPEAN PATENT, WHICH WOULD BE $15,000!

I understand how there are individuals who are driven to success, money or their goals. I do not understand the utter disregard & disrespect for people's feelings, dreams, or hopes that Mr. Bach and this agency hold.

After visiting the "Inventors Helpline" website I found this header:

The Inventors Helpline and its related entities are currently in Temporary Receivership by order of the Honorable Gerald Bruce Lee in the matter of FTC v.international Product Design, Inc., et al., Case No. 1:97-cv-01114-AVB. Phillip S. Stenger has been appointed the temporary receiver. Mr. Stenger and his assistant, Sara Kandelac, can be reached at (616) 940-1190 or by email at [email protected] or [email protected].

Maybe justice will be served after all. We can only hope and pray that they will be able to receive even a small portion of the grief they have bestowed upon so many innocent Americans.

P.S. Still not convinced? Has anyone ever known ANYONE and I mean ANYONE who has been successful with this country? Even a little bit? I've researched for hours and haven't found a single success story.
