My wife was sick and took her to the clinic.
There they gave her a hospital gown and sat in the waitting room.
She nearly past out, the nurse said she has symtom of a hearth attack.
They rush her to the back and place her on a bed and hock monitor to her.
The doctor order my wife to go to hospital by ambulance ASAP.
The nurse ask me which ambulance service i wanted. I told her i'm from NC and just passing by. I have blue Cross insurance and said the closes one. She cal Valley EMS.
It took threm 20 minutes to reach the clinic. They check her vital and was loading her on the streecher. I ask them direction to the hospital. The Para medic told me St-Vincent hospital is the closest one and was about 8 miles. I said i will follow them he replied if we put the lights on i could not follow them. So i Left and i miss the exit and double back. Got to the hospital in 15 minutes. I went to the ER and ask for my wife, she was not there.
Finaly she came in 30 minutes after. She said the Para medic could not insert and IV and the nurse a the hospital did it. My wife complain she was freezing in the ambulane and they had no blanket but the para mdeic had ther big coats on.
I go the bill for the ambulance since Valley is not part of blue Cross network. $470.00.
I call my insurance they only allows in network 220. For ambulance service.
I call ambulance bill.com and spoke to Daniel customer service. She replied 220. Is for the ambulance and the rest is for the para medic service.
I told her Blue Cross paid 220. Only for ambulance and thats what the doctor order not para medic stuff. I told her i could have gotton my wife to the hospital faster than the ambulance did, she said nothing. The 470 is what i have to pay period.
I said i'm willing to negociate the bill but not 470. For a losy service.
Yesterday gor bill from Valley EMs for $470. And it final.
I will paid the $470. And i told them i would file a compalint with usacomplaints.com.
