I located a company online called Freelance Security that takes bids on projects from various private investigators. My project was called Pandora and the project consisted of finding the true identity of a girl that I was communicating with in Ukraine through an online marriage dating service there. I stated that I wanted to find her true identity and have a background check done first befor having an agent or affiliate contact her to compare notes of our letters for accuracy. This was the project description. A company called Associated protective services bid on the project and said thet $750.00 us was what they projected for the project, although in their reply they did not guarantee that they could do ot for $750.00. They would not accept the escrow payment held by Freelance security because they could not project accuratly and assured me that we may not have to proceed any further than the background check on the girl thereby saving me money for further useless investigation. After checking their service online and not finding any negative reports on them I agreed to hire their services due to their impressive looking web page and convincing testimonials (which I suppose can be fake as well) The owner Steve Brophy was handling my case and assured me that all would proceed and in fact he was as now contacting someone in Kremenchug (Ukraine), the home of the girl, so as to make contact with her to compare notes. I was now resting assured that soon I would know the truth and be able to contact Natalie directly to know that her letters were in fact from her. Steve asked for any information that I had on her and the agency she was with, so I gave him the name of the site and my member number so he could access it. I also told him anything that I thought was pertinent, like she said that she attends medical college there and she lives with her parents in Kremenchug where they run a small foodstuffs buisness. All seemed fine, so I waited fro the results. Every week or two I would check back with Steve and he would tell me something like I am contacting one of our agents there to be ready to contact her. He wrote back that after checking THE COLLEGE there in Kremenchug, they found no one by the name of Natalie U. There. Now I became more wary because Natalie is so common there that I know there must have been at least 50 girls by that name there, as well I suspected that there were more than one medical college there in this large city, and Steve had written specifically that she could not be found at THE college there. So I risked asking her in a letter the name of her college, and also nonchalontly if she had her drivers licence yet, and if her father lets her drive the family VW. Van in one of the photos that she sent to me through the agency. You see, in this photo she chanced (on purpose I suspect) to allow the licence number on the family van to be in the photo. She responded that she attends Kremenchug medical college and that there are many medical colleges there in Kremenchug. She said that her father does not allow her to drive his VW van but her cousin may get a car son and she will learn on it. So now I had information (accurate I did not know yet) that there were several medical colleges there and that the licence number on the van was her father's. I happily forwarded this information to Steve and expected that this would speed things up, although I was suspicious of Steve now because he had said that she did not attend (THE) college there and I knew there were several after checking extensivly online myself. I waited about two weeks and heard nothing from Steve. At this time it had been about 8 or 9 weeks into this fiasco and I wrote a letter to him stating that it appeared that nothing was being done and he may as well concede that he could not find her and pay the $750.00 us. Back. He wrote back a scathing letter about how his team and himself had put so many hours into this investigation and how I had been INTERFERING in it by sending my own stuff in etc... Then he goes on to say that since I think that he is conceding and want to be paid back that there is no such thing as a payback, all these hours spent and if you read the initial contract it says that we don't guarantee any results and he is finished. So I write back saying that I did not give him permission to quit but that if he can give me no results for $750.00 then it looks like he is conceding that he can not find her and I cannot pay $750.00 for nothing and I apologise for my rudeness and impetuousness and not alowing him to be the professional and do his work (trying to get SOMETHING for my $750.00). So he writes back that since he does not want a bad report and I did pay the $750.00 he will continue, so he asks me to fill him in on the situation and how are we (me and Natalie) getting along, and how are her english lessons going etc. I can see easily now that what he is waiting for is for the online relationship between Natalie and me to deteriorate and finish so that he does not have to do anything and keep my $750.00. He even askes me "Is she still saying that she lives with her parents"? Which I take to mean, "can't you see she is bullshitting you and she is really living on her own and not really a decent person", thereby making my interest in her wane and I'll go away and leave him alone to keep the $750.00. So I wait and wait and wait some more. I wait about two months now because he had gotten angry that I was emailing him once a week and it was annoying him. So now after two months he answers that, "Oh, I thought that this investigation was over, did'nt we agree"? I wrote no we did'nt agree, infact we agreed that you were the professional and I agrred with that and you would continue. So he says " how are things going with you and Natalie and how are her english lessons going"? I answer him going good and I will wait for his reply as to progress. I wait now for about 70 days and write him again and he says that he thought that the case was over because I did not answer him in an email written by him on October 24. I did not recieve his email and even if I did recieve it and not answer (which I did'nt) this gives him no reason to quit. He writes then that the background check is completed and that she attends medical college in Kremenchug (information that I forwarded to him) and that the van in the photo belongs to her father (more information that I forwarded to him) and that he recommends that I hire his team to conduct surveillance on her in order to determine her real objectives toward me and see what she is up to. All this bullshit from Steve Brophy, the owner of Associated protective services and he has not even provided me with one grain of information on any background check (other than that which I had given him) of Natalie and even had the nerve to state that Natalie * attended college at Kremenchug State Medical College (the information I had given him). He had the nerve to expect me to believe that he had her last name and that he was keeping that to himself (in order to sucker me into continuing his phony investigations). That is the sole result of his background check on Natalie, (information that I gave him) and he expected me to believe now that he had her last name and that I would assume that her last name was not part of the background check that I would recieve. I have recieved nothing from the bullshitting ripoff Steve Brophy, owner of Associated protective services of Phoenix Arizona, except lies and more lies, all attempts to make me tired and lose me in order to keep the $750.00. One look at the guy online (unfortunatly after I sent the money) should keep anyone from dealing with this BIG FLAKE. I will continue my online assault forever on him and his company forever until I am paid back in full. I will purchase the RIP OFF Payback booklet and carry out all that it says and more. The scam site called Confidentialconnections.com is the agency where I met Natalie and thanks to my online efforts has now (after 7 years) gone off and come up under another name in an effort to get away from their nefarious past. Myself and others are now attacking their new scam site which rips off men worldwide by never giving out contact info on the ladies. We will knock them out too just as I will never give up on finding effective ways to prevent others from doing buisness with Associated Protective Services and Steve Brophy (owner) until I am paid back in full.
