My husband and I purchased a sick Yorkie pup from The Puppy Shoppe in July of 06. The puppy started out with kennel cough which quickly resulted in pnemonia. We were promised by Marc and Barbara that all of our medical bills would be taken care of until the puppy got better. Our puppy was shuttled btwn Banfield hospital, and Garden State Vet Specialists in Tinton Falls NJ for over a month until she finally passed.
When she did pass, she was only 3 months of age. We racked up 4,000 in medical fees, and have filed complaints with the BBB as well as consumer affairs. Our case is still pending. Marc and Barbara have been very defensive, and have refused to comply with NJ law which requires them to refund the purchase price for the dog, as well as medical fees.in general, they have been very unresponsive to our requests for help. They are putting greed before actual love for animals and in the end the consumer as well as the animal has to suffer.
