I have wireless satellite service so i should always be on with a connection speed of 54.0 Mbps but the connection speed does not stay at 54.0 Mbps. The speed may be at 54.0 Mbps for a while but then it drops at various speeds. This drop off effects downloads.
I can download videos often times at 100kb-124kb or more per second but with one program its extremely low (1kb-10kb per second). Downloading webpages often times takes as long as dialup (even at high Mbps speeds) and then other times quite fast, its too sporadic with no high-speed consistency.
Yahoo messenger often gets bumped off for whatever reason. T-mobile (another company ive had problems with) says its the wireless waves which are not strong enough to reach my destination.
I often have to unhook my hughesnet modem and router to reset the ip address in order to get things moving again.
The issue at hand is, what am i paying for? I should have total service, there should be no technological issues here, a company should not go on the market if it can not provide the services that it says, otherwise it is false advertising to say the least.
Paying $100 month for dialup speed is ridiculous, id rather pay $10 for the same speed (but without the wiretapping feel-service).
