Running an Ebay Store is not worth the continuous hassles, so don't even think about it.
In the past 12 months, here are a FEW of the occurrences I have experienced:
Fraudulent items repeatedly placed in my store (how???),
Constant bogus "ask the seller" questions appearing in "My Ebay" by the hundreds (which I sent on to spoof@ebay with nothing ever being done about it),
Fraud attempt on my PayPal accout by some east indian who paid himself $1,088 (PayPal did fix him),
Bogus notifications that my account is suspended or in violation all appearing in "My Ebay" as irritating, unfounded "alerts", bogus notification that I had bid on an item that I did not bid on which resulted in a "strike against my record", which they so graciously removed even though it was unwarranted in the first place,
Ignoring a one-time payment I made and then telling me my account was in arrears,
NO RESPONSE from the top executives at Ebay, starting at the top with Whitman, after 3 weeks of the letters being in their hands (sent by DHL so I had records).
Repeated requests for customer service help resulted in repeated and identical (and useless) form letters. No real action EVER.
12/8/06 I finally gave up in disgust and closed my ebay account and my Ebay Store. I worked really hard on that store and had 100% positive feedback on all transactions, but the hsassles of trying to run it far outweighed any advantage I enjoyed.
Do not open an ebay store!!!
