MMS is a credit card processor with headquarters in Ashland, Kentucky. They have sales reps in various states. They are trying to expand nationwide so watch out!
I have stated it many times and will continue to say... This is the worst company that I have ever worked for! However my grudge against them in not one of personal means. I am not a disgruntle employee who was fired or forced to resign. I left there of my own free will, mostly because of the pompous attitude of the owner and unethical practices of the company. (The latter is my opinion... You can make your own decision.)
My sole purpose of this posting is to notify any merchant who may want to do business with this company of their lack of respect and mentality towards merchants.
On my very first day, I was advised that I needed to remember two things which were "All merchants are idiots and all merchants are liars." My initial thought was "you have got to be kidding me... How could you feel that way about your clientele?" After finishing my training, I learned that their level of customer service to you depended on how much money you have made for them in the past year! Yea, you saw it right. If you can not bring in the money then they are not happy to help you! They actually have your profitability for the past year at their fingertips. So if you have a problem and they put you on hold... They are probably checking it!
They do not limit their lack of service to those unprofitable merchants. They also discriminate against foreigners! Not getting into details, but I have heard various comments... I had a merchant call in of a different nationality who had great profitability but was still denied adequate service AFTER a merchant with lower profitability had been granted the service he requested! After I hung up with him, a racist remark was made in the office so I KNOW that was the cause of his denial!
This company boast a 3.9 million dollar profit for but if I took as much as $100,000 (unauthorized) out of individual customers accounts it would be understandable how you would have that large of a profit. They consider it an early termination fee if you cancel you account, but if you don't submit EXACTLY 30 days notice then your account automatically renews! If you give in after they have taken you money and reinstate your contract they will hold your money for ransom for 90 days before returning it to your account. Sounds like a splendid company doesn't it?
These are only a few of the many reasons you should beware of this company! I have family members who own businesses and have advised them of the same. I just can not stand when a company claims to be something that they are not.
Merchant Management Systems, MMS, claims to business built on integrity, honesty, and superior customer service and technical support. It is anything but!
