I heard about Search For Talent in my local newspaper where i live. I called up the 800 number for Search For Talent. From what the guy told me it sounded awesome, something i was interested in. As he was telling me about what i would have to do he said i'd get a 7 day FREE trial, i said okay but first you have to pay $1.98 for the shipping fee. So i said fine.
I gave him my card number and he said i'd recieve it in a couple days. I finally recieved the casting calls but they were no near where i lived. I was kind of upset because i was looking forward to going to some casting calls and plus i live in Fresno so there's no way i would be able to go to LA anytime soon. I signed up with the website, put my pictures up, applied to a bunch of casting calls and didn't recieve ANY emails from any of the so called "producers and or scouts".
I decided to cancel my trial. I called them up on Monday Nov. 27th to cancel. When the guy got on the phone i told him that i wanted to cancel because i wasen't getting anywhere. He said, "Why?" "Why do you want to cancel?" i said, because im just not interested. He was being very rude and telling me i was iggnorant. And i could barely understand him. Search for Talent has these people on the phone that can barely speak english. I got very angry so i hung up on the guy.
Well i called back, and this lady got on the phone. I told her that if she doesn't cancel my account and send me my money back then i'm going to report the company. She said "no no" i said you guys are a scam. All she said was "no maam its nothing like that" i said well you better cancel my account and return my money because when i first called i got told i wouldn't be charged for anything. She said well you didn't call in time to cancel. And i said i had a week to cancel and now they want to charge me for 19.80. That's crap! I was so mad.
So then, I told her well i tried calling you guys on sunday but your offices were closed, and she didn't say anything. Then i told her i want my money back now or you guys will be reported immmediately. She said in 5-7 business days your money will return back to your account, i said okay well it better be because there's no way in hell i'm going to pay 19.80 for that free trial.
Well a couple days later, i go in my account n they had put the 19.80 back in my account. So that was real good. But i just want to let anyone know who's reading this. DON'T TRUST ANYONE WITH YOUR CARD NUMBER, I CALLED MY BANK N HAD THEM STOP THE PAYMENTS GOING TO MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE SEARCH FOR TALENT WAS TELLING ME THEY COULDNT CANCEL IT AND THEY WERE SAYING HOW I TOLD THEM THEY COULD CHARGE ME!
So i'm warning anyone who reads this, never give out your card number to anyone not even on the phone unless you know that the company is successful. Luckily i wasen't stupid enough to give them my account number.
