We have been customers for a year, I got layed off and had to return a big screen tv, and home theatre system I could no longer pay for. I called them to pickup, they ignored my request. I called once a week at least to remind them with no cooperation. Finally after two months they called us and asked why we would not let them come get it and they would have to file theft charges.
When they realized that I could not pay, they came and picked up the merchandise, but continued to try to make me pay for those 2 months, plus late charges, and would verbally try to change the terms of the contract to benefit themselves. On several occasions during the rental period, I would ask for pay off amounts, they were increasing the pay off amount as time went on. I was thinking that the amount would decrease as I continued to make payments.
When I questioned why the amount was getting larger, no one could really say, would put me on hold for a manager, and never come back to phone. Obviously there is no nice way to tell a customer that they are getting screwed. They are inconsistent with the information they give their customers, and basically refuse to pick up merchandise so they can incurr ridiculous charges on innocent customers. Partners, like most rental places, cannot be trusted.
