Mail Boxes, United Parcel Service rip off dishonest in paying insurance for properly insured damaged package

In April I went to a UPS/mailbox etc. Store # 3954 Suite 108 5055 Business Center Drive Fairfield, CA 94534. Tel. 707.207.0470 where I own an account for I have done extensive mailing through them and was in good standing.

I told then store owner that I was moving to New York and needed him to pack and ship wedding china, wedding gifts, personal framed photos and other delicate household items that required gentle/professional shipping/handling. I was informed that if he did the packaging with UPS supplies and price estimates where agreed upon because most of the items still had price tags on them they will insure them in case of loss/theft/damage. I paid for packaging supplies such as bubble wrap, packaging tape, packing popcorn, and shipping boxes. The store owner deligently came daily to pack and package the said items in a period of Two weeks.

The store owner then shipped them to my address in New York in August of and UPS contacted me regarding the damage to some packages that were missing and went to a North Carolina warehouse instead of my address Kate 201 Hawthorne Ave. Apt 57 Central Islp, New York. 11722. They arrived separately from the rest of the packages. 18 boxes. Meanwhile I contacted the store owner to generate a damage report since the packages were insured and shipped by weight, contents and estimated prices of these contents. He had everything on the computer and I also have tracking numbers for these packages.

I kept in touch with the store owner all the time and I told him I will be visiting california and will stop bye to pay a bill on my account by December. When I came in to settle the Bill on December 24th of 2005 I met the store under new ownership and management. I paid my balance and I also asked what I should do regarding my pending insurance claim for damaged packages. They said I will be contacted since they were still in transition from the old ownership. I left them with my contact information.

I never heard anything from them. Through out this year, I contacted UPS at 1800 789 4623 and I was given the run around by being asked to speak with Nadine Sabian. I was forwarded to their corporate office in Utah where I spoke with Tanisha at 1888 346 3623 ext. 736 and nothing happened. I also spoke with the UPS North Carolina Center, where the damaged packages were mistakenly sent to. 404.828.6022. I spoke with a very rude customer service person who told me they do not recognise me and UPS was just a carrier for Mail boxes etc. I tried to find out who the payment and insurance money that I paid went to and she hung up.

Please have UPS contact me, examine the tracking numbers for these packages, pay my insurance money back for some of those packages were insured for at least 300 U.S. Dollars or more. They also opened and repacked some of these boxes where my wedding albums were missing and they also broke valuable jars and vases, this was done intransit after the packages had left California and therefore illegal. I cannot buy those albums back because I need a licenced photographer to order them from Concord California. He was paid to do my wedding photos. I am too surprised at the fact that a big company like UPS has refused to settle a genuine insurance claim that they have on file because store ownership changed hands and they will not deal with me. They will only deal with the shipper!

I have also tried in vain to contact the new store owner Ronnie and she now says the old owner took his claims with him and she has no record of a huge shippment like mine that costs thousands of dollars. I still have an account with her store. I have also spoken to her son Inder Atwall who runs another UPS/mail boxes store in Sacramento tel. 916.685.8600 but nothing has come of it. So please help me with a lawyer or media that can file a claim for this sort of scam should be exposed. Thank you.
