Millennium Moving and Storage
Moving ripoff Held my furniture hostage until I paid additional $3318 move was 503 miles - total $7418

I attempted to resolve the moving issue before the household good were movd. I had two storage units in Sun City, CA. It took two small moving vans to move the goods into storage. We informed Danny (sales rep) that we needed a large van to move both units. We had sent him a typed inventory before he quoted a price on the move—he did not view the storage units. He informed us that we did not need a large truck, he had been in the business many years and that the truck he was sending could hold 6 room of furniture. Well, guess what, he was wrong, he used what cubic feet he said was the correct amount for the stored items and then proceeded to fill the truck for an additional $3318.

He took $4,000 from my account before he left the LA area and then held my furniture hostage until he got the additional $3318. He asked me to borrow from a neighbor when I informed him that I did not have the additional funds, use a credit card, get a cashier check etc. I had to borrow againist my savings account to get the additional monies. I think that he was well aware that he quoted a low figure so that they would get the move and then socked it to me. He said that we wanted an overnight move, this was never mentioned to him by me or the friend in CA who was there when they picked up the housegood. I still have half my furniture in storage—I have lamps without shades, chairs without cushions, etc. It was a bad move all around and this company advertises on the Internet. They need to be stopped and the public aware of the fast sales pitch the person named Danny uses—I have kept on my telephone the message he sent me in re to the move demanding the additional monies.
I am a senior who was going through probate at the time and I had lived without my things for 9 months before I could afford to move my things. Now I am in debt because of it and I still have furniture in storage in CA that I cannot afford to move.

Can someone please help me? I had suffered a stroke shortly after the move directly related to this move and I am still taking medication to control the high blood pressure this move caused me.

Thank you for any help that you can give me. Hopefully I will get back the $3318 that was wrongfully taken from me. Short move but very expensive. I could have moved to the East coast for the amount of monies charged.
