Don't become a Bare Minerals "Club Member". If you do decide to try their product, cancel your membership after you receive your "introductory foundation kit". They make it sound like you are getting a great deal by saying if you join their club you will get their product worth $xx amount retail value and you can get it for only $xx amount which is a savings of nearly x amount percentage. The "savings" part is a lie! If you want to compare prices to see if you really are getting a good deal you can't.
First of all they don't tell you what size you are receiving in your "introductory kit" so you are left to assume that you will receive a full size product - you won't!!! Each container is only. 06 oz! If you look at their online catalog you will not find any size that is. 06 oz - they are. 3 oz - a huge difference!!! So how can they say you are saving a percentage if there is nothing to compare it to?
Also, if you do the math for price per ounce there is a big difference between the little. 06 ounces versus. 3 ounces. And by being a club member you won't receive any percentage off a regular order either.
Second, you will be billed continually (emphasis on continually) each month unless you cancel or reschedule your shipments further apart - most of us don't have a monthly bill for makeup - we buy it when we need it!!! Your credit card will be billed every (emphasis on every) month!
I know someone who trained to work for this company and she had to decline the job based on her ethics. She mentioned to the instructor about the small size of the "kit" makeup versus the regular size and she mentioned the amount of money people will be wasting if they continue their "club membership" on the little jars and the instructor told her - "The customers don't know that - so who cares." She couldn't work for a company who intentionally rips off customers.
I emailed customer service at Bare Minerals to complain about the uselessness of being a club member and how I was being ripped off. They replied by not reading my email at all. They sent me their advertising to join the club. How ignorant is that??? If I'm complaining about the club why would you send me information on joining the club??? Let's all say Idiot!!!
I then decided to call Bare Minerals and talk to a person about the scam of being in their club and the lousy customer service I received in the email. This person acted as ignorant as the person who responded to the email.
I think their advertising is very misleading. Customers think they are saving money by being in the club, when in reality if they continue in this club, they will be losing a lot of money.
Cancel your club membership and see how much money you will save!!!
