RENT-A-CENTER has harassed me for the last time. I was a good paying customer, even paid off two items prior to getting my washing machine which I am still paying on. Rent-A-Center call me non stop on even on the day my bill is due. They don't even give you a chance to get out of bed on a Saturday to pay your bill before calling every number they have on file.
Rent-A-Center calls me one week later to say we have changed our policies and will not call you until the day after you are due. Then turn around the very next week and call me on my due date. When I asked why are you calling me when I am not late I was told it's because I have a credit card on file to make the payment. WHAT BULL! I asked them not to call me before certain hours, they still due it. Ask them not to call me at work the still do it. Ask them not to call my references they still do it. I tell them I will be there on a certain day and not to call me until them, THEY STILL DO IT!
Rent-A-Center harassed my disabled Mother! I always give them my current numbers and they still call my family and friends telling them information that is AGAINST California State and Federal laws. Rent-A-Center of Rialto makes all kinds of mistake such as not logging commitments or payments causing harassing phone calls on the same day you spoke to them. Rent-A-Center Management is a joke. They do nothing to correct theses THUGS who let their minimum wage jobs go to their head. This has been one HUGE nightmare.
I have been patient and understanding but this is just plain HARASSMENT. I am not only contacting the Better Business Bureau to make a complaint, but also California Attorney General Office for violation of California State Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If any one has a suit going please contact me. If any one feels Rent-A-Center has wronged you contact theses places above or call 1-877-FTC-HELP or go to www.ftc. Gov. I sure will. Rent-A-Center needs to be sent a message from California residents. We will NOT be bullied or disrespected. We are customers with rights and should be treated as such!
