I am completely unsatisfied with how Rent-A-Center works with customers. I purchased an acer laptop about 2 months ago, and have been making bi-weekly payments on it. I just lost my job (due to the economy) and notified Rent-A-Center of what had happened. Next thing I know, they are sending their workers to my doorstep to collect the computer or the money - along with the next 2 weeks payment. On top of that, they called EVERY SINGLE ONE of my references and emergency contacts. That's 8 people!!! How embarrassing!!! So now, my whole family and close friends knows what's going on cause Rent-A-Center call them at least twice a day!!! Ugh! I am so irritated and sick of this place... I am returning my laptop and will never talk highly of rent-a-center!
