Dear Management,
I have been a frequent, loyal customer of Walmart for many years. It is and has always been my philosophy to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
It is my understanding that Walmart prides itself on quality and customer service. On June 12 at 8:45 A.M., my three children and I were in line to pay for some merchandise at 9051 Hillcrest Rd in Kansas City.
We encountered a dark skinned African American cashier with braids (head is somewhat bald or shaved in the back. I did not get her name, however if you check with management they can probably identify her based on the hairstyle.
To make a long story short, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. As my children were reaching to get some apple juice, another gentlemen got in line.
I was going to go ahead and let him pay for his merchandise, but he smiled and said "go ahead." The cashier rudely looked at me and said "what are you doing, were you planning to go to another register?"
I said no I was simply waiting for my children to get their juice. She then looked at me and rolled her eyes. The gentleman behind me spoke up again and said - "Mam I am in no hurry, everything is fine.
The cashier proceeded to ring up my items, stuffed the clothes in my bag and rudely asked me if I had a pen to sign my credit card receipt. This behavior is totally unacceptable because this is not the first time I have noticed this type of behavior from this employee with other customers. She must stop and realize that this is a job dealing with the public and that customers come first and are the reason Walmart is in business.
Please address this issue immediately. I was totally dissatisfied with the level of service and the poor attitude from this employee. This can also be a bad reflection on Walmart as a whole. I pride myself on treating others with respect and I expect at least that in return as a regular consumer. I look forward to your feedback soon.
