On 6/7/06 I purchased & paid for an item from Instawares. On 7/7/06 I called re: status of Order - told "on back order - will ship in about a week". On 7/12/06 called & cancelled order - "if in stock will call & place re-order"."Credit card will be credited." 8/29/06 Called re: credit to card. Told a 'glitch' in the system. "Credit to be posted within 5-10 days"
Credit would appear on my next credit card statement." 9/27/06 received credit card statement - no credit posted (Surprise!)
9/28/06 called & told credit would be posted same day - I requested a check & was refused - would only post credit to credit card & would be confirmed via e-mail with transaction number. No credit posted on 9/28 nor 9/29 & no e-mail received.
This seems to be the standard M.O. For this company - to string out the transaction promises until the 60 day dispute period of the credit card companies elapses & Instawares cannot be forced to disgorge the monies.
