I found the website using a search engine, because my plastic eyeglass frames were broken, and the price was reasonable for repair, since there is no local shop to have my frames fixed.
I packed my frame as sturdily as I could, and sent my glasses, and a check for the repair as directed.
On the website, it says that it will be a permanent fix, and that the frames will look better than they did before they were broken. It also stated that if a decent repair couldn't be made, they would be sent back in the same condition they were received.
I received my glasses back within a week, and enclosed, there was a business card, with the words "no guarantee on plastic repairs" written on it. The bridge looked like it had been melted together, and it was crooked. There was no buffing or polishing, as promised on the website, nor was there even any touch up paint applied. The result is a discolored repair that would have looked better if I had done it myself, and then wrapped electrical tape around it.
So, looking at this shoddy repair, I quickly issued a stop payment on the check that I sent. I have now been receiving hideous threats and nasty emails from the owner. I sending all of them, and pictures of the so-called repair to my attorney, and am considering a lawsuit if I receive one more piece of mail from this man.
