I have some very logical points / facts about this company which will help the young or desperate sales individual who is debating working here. You will have no salary, as you know. You will be given leads that have a 10% close ratio. You will knock on doors, where you will be told the truth - - - You are attempting to charge people an astronomical rate for equipment that they can get for 1/20th of the cost. Your reason - because you have been around for a while, because you are the only company that comes with paperwork that Freedom claims will help to keep the client organized, etc... They will show you happy customers. These customers used the equipment and it prevented a theft, or worse. What these customers do not realize is that they have been sold something for no less than 5 to 20 times the actual cost.
When you begin you will hear phone calls where a man screams into a phone and tells you of the sales of the previous day. You will typically hear one man throughout the month. You will have been told of this man in your sales training. This man is the one getting the company leads. If you have any concern about this company, then perhaps this is where you might want to focus. At the end of the month you will get a sales report, which will show you where the leads came from, etc. You will see, to your astonishment, that I am telling you the whole truth - you will see that the top guy, who keeps on closing - is getting a zillion leads. You may also note how many people are without sales.
Something impressive about them is that they do all of the work in their own place of business. This is rare in the industry. They do not need to send out for parts, etc. Here they are doing something correct.in this industry you can wait for months for a part. They will get it to you faster. If there is a reason to buy from them then, this is it. How much is this worth. As a business man, I could see putting out money for this. However, if I could get the equipment from someone reputable for 1/4 and it all goes wrong by some chance, well... Could I not buy this system 4 times over - of course. And, by the way, how long has it been since you have replaced tech equipment. You will be blinded here by a sales technique. You will assume something good, but in reality, you must ask yourself if there is really a reason to get this based on this principle. Here too, I paused, and it cost me much time, frustration and money.
They will charge you $300 to use their materials. They, in my case, have not given it back. Do they do this across the board. Not sure? I have called, I have written letters, I have tried and tried. I have had no response. Of all the negatives associated with this position, this may be the worse. I thought that maybe they might have got back to me. But no! You might want to ask about this if you so choose to work here. Perhaps it was an oversight. But why have I not been contacted after countless calls?
In reality you are dealing with the best sales people you will ever encounter. They can teach you how to sell anything to anyone. This is a positive. You will learn how to sell, in reality, nothing for something. With this, you can be successful in a multitude of positions. I might also put here, that I do not like to talk negative about anyone. However, the deviance of this is so deep that I could not keep quiet about it. I think that some of the individuals working there are convincing themselves that this is ok, that this is moral. All they need to ask themselves are these questions
Would I buy this for myself? - I'm sure the rebut to this will be yes, but they can get it for 1/10th the cost - they will say that there will be no warranty with the other stuff - do your research here - there is a warranty with all other stuff - and if a limited warranty with other, is this a reason to charge 5 - 20 times more.
Why do they parade the top sales guy on the phone, when he is getting all the leads?
What is the turn over ratio in this business?
Do the vast majority go months without sales?
Our there some seasoned veterans, who also get those company leads?
Is this an opportunity you want your child to pursue? Not given a top job here - I mean the sales job.
I must get my own leads in order to make money. Is this true? If yes, then why would I do this in the year 2006? Are there not better opportunities then this?
Ask yourself - Are the majority, if not all, of the individuals applying for this being mislead? Can you honestly say "no", with your entire being, your heart, to that question?
