Ripoff faulty merchandise dishonest rogue trader ripoff retailer consumer rights holiday purchases faulty goods

I would like to share this experience in order to safe guard anyone who thinks of purchasing goods from Jovanotti shoes in Pafos, Cyprus.

Having visited Cyprus for the first time last October, I bought 3 pairs of boots from a shoe shop called Jovanotti Shoes in Pafos. Once back in UK, I wore one of the pairs, which to my horror the entire heal on both boots fell off after just half a day's wear. I have been in communication with the store ever since to no avail. Even the Euro Consumer board have been unable to reach a satisfactory conclusion with this retailer, who has refused to refund the costs of the boots or pay for repair.

Since I bought the boots using my switch card, it seems I have no consumer protection or redress under the circumstances. Potential consumers visiting Cyprus and especially Jovanotti Shoes in Pafos, be aware of this rogue retailer! Address: Jovanotti Shoes, Nicodemou Mylona 57, Paphos
