I just stumbled over this website and saw the horrible experiences that others have had with Amy Veal and I suppose I don't feel so bad. I was fortunate in that my little boy has been a wonderful puppy since December '05.
He was born in September and I met Amy at Delta in Atlanta when she was shipping out another puppy (who did look very healthy). I fell in love with my puppy and Amy acted as though she was such a concerned breeder and told me that she wanted to keep in touch and for me to call any time.
Well, the first time my puppy got sick and I needed to let the vet know what shots he had had, Amy had not given me the records and when I called her, she was rude and talked to me like I was bothering her. I gave her another month to get me the papers and when I called her, she went nuts! I too have the email trail with her and wish I had recorded the phone calls.
This is a woman who should not have puppies or children. She seems to like the excuse that there is a death or illness in her family as an excuse. She also yelled at me telling me she wanted me to return my dog to her and she would refund my money! She was absolutely the nuttiest woman I have ever dealt with.
I only pray that my puppy will stay healthy after seeing some of the other experiences. He will be a year old in September and a beautiful dog. I am so happy to have him but I would never recommend her to anyone as she has some real mental issues going.
