Hello my name is Mylan on Saturday July 22 I went to Workmens Clothing Store in the Montebello Town Center. I was in there for about 40 minutes looking for something for my friend for his birthday on 07/23 and left unsure of what to get. I went around the mall and ended up back there.
Again I was searching for something to my friend's liking and came to the register with a pair of jeans and Shirt. I ended up asking for just a $100.00 gift certificate. Nothing was told to me at the time of purchase. The only signs that were up were no cash refunds on exchanges only.
I came back on the following day July 23rd the next day with my friend and search for quite some time but the inventory was very low. We went to the cash register to purchase one shirt and to my surprise this young teenager had to ask someone else how to ring this up. This other young girl named Emma said we had to use the full amount and was extremely rude and obnoxious. Then a young man who seemed to be the one in charge stated the same.
I was extremely upset and requested to get my money back if I was unable to purchase what I wanted and come back at a later time. Which to me was absolutely ridiculous as a consumer. The young man got this lady who was suppose to be the owner on the phone and she was helpless. She did not introduce herself or eevn apologize for the mishap.
I just spent $100.00 on a gift certificate for a friends birthday took him there on his BIRTHDAY to purchase his liking and recieved the worst treatment ever. I demanded my money back because I no longer wanted their business and she declined. So you know I immediately went to the workmens in Melrose to find their inventory was grand and use the whole gift certificate there. The money was not the issue. The experience in itself was awful and to make matters worst it my friends actual birthday. Please help me with this in justice.
