This company has injected a charge on my personal phone bill claiming that collect calls were made and accepted by someone at my home.
The charges were for a 5 minute call @ 13.92.
Both my wife and I have called the company and they will not reverse the charges. I called Bill Pope (founder of CO.) and left a message. The call was returned by someone named RANDY, however, this went noone. This person would not provide a last name, and would not accept any responsibility.
Verizon will drop the charges from your phone bill but states the company may bill directly or hand to a collection agency.
Guessing this to be some type of SCAM by either the business owner where the phone is located, the owner of the phone, or NCIC. All parties appear to get a cut, including verizon who I believe gets paid to help collect the bill.in any case, this whole industry makes money by scams, misdials, or uninformed people making calls they think will be billed at acceptable rates. They all know exactly how to scam people and get away making some profit.
