To begin...
I have twins that will be 3 next month. When they turned 6 weeks old I started would walk down the street and talk to this lady names Hanna, since she babysat for a living. After almost 2 years I decided I would take my kids there. I felt comfortable... I talked to her several times. I sat and watched... My parents even knew her when she lived next door to them years ago when I was little. My dad would go and help Hanna's husband Leo in working around the house. Leo is in his late 70's.
About 3 weeks ago my dad picked up the kids a little early and said that Hanna will not be able to watch the kids for a while because they were being investigated. She went on to explain that there was a 5 year old or 4... Can't remember... Had been sexually molested by her stepfather... Which her mother married after only 8 months. She said that she was going to be closed for atleast a week... That they would be back open... And that they didn't do anything wrong. Well... One weeks passed... Which in that time my dad was babysitting for me. He told me that on Wed, Thur, and Friday a detective called and for me to call...
Of course... I always seem to put things off, when it comes to calling someone back. I called Monday and I was told that they only work thoes 3 days... I couldn't call Tuesday because it was July 4th and I was out of work and I had the detectives number at my desk. I called Wednesday, late morning and then I was told that Leo admitted to molesting the little girl. And that my kids names were mentioned by the little girl that was molested. I took off work not to long after I got off the phone and went and picked up my kids... Met my husband there... My dad also went. We were told to take the kids to Child Advocacy Center. They interviewed the kids alone. One by one and later we spoke to the detective and she said from what she witnessed... That nothing had happened to our kids. I was so releaved when I heard... But also... Just about the whole time that my kids were there... My dad would pick them up at different times... Or he would be there working on the house for Leo... So I don't know...
I don't notice any change in my kids. I even went over the body parts and we talked about strangers. And to never be scared to tell mommy and daddy anything... That she would not get into trouble no matter what anyone tells her.
I just can't believe this happened. It just seems like something that happenes only on TV or far away from here...
The whole time I just kept thinking to myself... Was that I took them there everyday. But that came to a complete halt. My dad is watching them now. My husband and I were discussing weather or not I should take off work to watch them until they are old enough to go to school. We decided to put them in a daycare (all female) with Internet access to the classrooms. I sit at a desk and can watch them all the time.
The thing is that... I talked to this lady... Checked up on her for almost 2 years... And my parents knew her when I was young and everything I knew about her was just a lie. She let her husband do this to a child. How sick is that... And she is still calling wanting to babysit.
