We've had the same problems with Lease Finace Group and CIT. They are both affiliated with Chase Morgan. Our equipment from Lease Finance and CIT was defective. We mailed it several times to CIT for repair but the equipment was never repaired properly. CIT told us they would not repair the equipment any longer with no charge. We called Lease Finance for some help in this and was told to return the equipment to Lease Finace, which we promptly did and have continued to be billed for ever since.
Interestingly, we never needed the equipment. We had perfectly acceptable terminals but the salesperson stated our present terminals would be illegal as Visa/Mastercard had new requirements for processing credit cards. It does seem something is illegal here. We have also been subjected to the barrage of harassing telephone calls. We have filed complaints with the Texas Attorney General and the BBB, but frankly, unless the media becomes involved not much will happen. We were also misled into believing we would save money (the processing fees cost more than our prior processor) and would receive our funds quicker (actually took 3-5 days for funding compared to previously overnight). We had to change banks to avoid the automatic monthly charges for equipment we were not in possession of and never worked properly for us. We have disputed the account on our credit report.
Global Payment processed our charges at that time, but since we signed with CIT they would not speak with us. CIT wouldn't even answer the phone nor would they return a phone call. This made collecting a missing batch rather interesting, but I convinced Global to research it and finally got our money. Letters and phone calls to the President of CIT were never returned nor acknowledged.
