I told the representative on the phone that I had just been the target of this kind of "bad" business just last month and I was not interested.
Traditionally, I would not be able to fully utilize any benefits "If they exist" and I would not get around to canceling within the introductory period.
A few days later I am checking my account and there is not one but two charges of $19.95. I immediately called the number that is listed with the transcaction and I typed in a search for "Today Escapes".
I clicked on the consumer complaints link that describes Today Escapes. While, I was on hold I read the information about Today Escapes. Five minutes later, the representative answers and I explain that I never authorized this transaction.
I told the Rep. That was contacted on my cell phone and that I will never buy anything over the phone... Ever, so tack my name off your list. He was nearly finished with the Today Escapes cancelation when I asked if he could spare me a second phone call, second holding time and second conversation to cancel the Shopping Essentials (because they were the same company).
I told him that I had just discovered that information from Usa Consumer Complaints.com and I look forward to learning more. Thanks
