ProFlowers ripoff did not send a card with the flowers

On 3/24/06 I placed an order with ProFlowers.com for a co-worker that helped me during a recent hospital visit. I wanted to send her flowers as a thank you for her help. I asked that the flowers be delivered to the office 4 days later.

Throughout the whole time, I was getting notices on my email that the order was placed, the order has been shipped, and the order shipment update. The flowers were delivered on the date that I requested, but did not contain the card with the message that I wrote on it.

So, my friend received flowers and did not know who sent them to her. I was embarrased about the mistake and had to tell her that they were from me. I had to explain to her that it was the company's fault and she understood, but still I was embarrased about it.

I called the company and told them what happened and they said "We are sorry" and offered a $9.99 refund for the mistake. I explained to them that I didn't call for a refund, but I wanted them to know that there was a mistake with my order and that wanted them to know so it didn't happen to someone else. The customer service person didn't seem to care and all he said was that they were going to give me a $9.99 refund.

I have to see if I ever get the credit to my card, but believe that their lack of concern was an indication of bad customer service.
