Evisions Marketing, AKA Engineseeker lied about ad inclusion and search engine database ripoff

Having a new website, I needed a company that would help me do the search engine submissions and Engineseeker seemed like a good fit. I was told that the guaranteed inclusion would help me get my website on track to where I wanted it. So, I signed up, paying for the first month of $24.95. I also set up an ad for the guaranteed inclusion program, which places ads on more than 150 search engines. I chose my ONE keyword and let it rip.

A week went by and I noticed that there hadn't been any increase in traffic. So I began checking these search engines one by one to make sure my ads were listed. To my shock, I found that several of the names of search engines weren't active. Some weren't even search engines, they were actual websites that didn't offer advertising. One site was "retired".

Out of 150 engines and directories, my ad was listed on 3 sites, an unacceptable ratio. When I called, Scott told me he would have tech look into it and get back to me. After a week of trying to call him, he emailed me and said that it was because of the keyword I chose and advised me to change it. So I did. A week later and the results are still the same.

Now, I work in the adult home party industry. And as far as keywords go, many websites won't list my site, even though my site does not promote porn. But even with the keyword change, there should have been some improvement. I spent 4 hours going through each engine and directory, one by one. And still only 3 listings. At least 75% of the engines and directories carry websites of competitors, as well as people affiliated with the same company I am.

After all of this, I have decided to close my account. Imagine my surprise when I went to cancel my account and my password wouldn't work. The same password that Scott confirmed to me in an email! The same password that I use to log into the system! How convenient is that?!

This "service" is not what it's salespeople make it out to be. I have had better luck with manual search engine submission through sites like addme.com. Engineseeker's search engine submission, which costs $24.95 a month, has also done nothing for me at all. I got taken for $24.95, but I'll be damned before these people get another cent out of me for a service that is in my opinion, bogus.
