Sears Department Store turned their customers charge cards over to Citi Card Co.
A simple manintance agreement was purchased from Sears TV department and payments wwere made @ R34.00 a month. I cancelled the agreement before the Citi Card Co. Took over the Sears custmoers accounts. The City card company Billed me every month after that for five years.
I contacted managers and head offices but no results.
I got a Lawyer to send a letter to 4 branches of Sears telling them that I had a zero balance for 5 years. The next month I received a bill just as before, with late charges for a non-purchased purchase. The stress and payment of bills I did not think was payment for a purchase but I thought it was payment for just having a Sears Charge Card.
I was told I had kidney failure and was put out of work, my whole world changed and I was so sick but trying to pay and keep up my bills. I got so involved they sent me a letter and a check saying that I had over paid. I got another letter saying send the check back. I did send them a check for $34. Oo and on their records, it shows paid.
But they egnored this and still sends me a bill for $34.00 each month for five (5) years. Please help me. I am 64 years old, disabled in wheelchair.By myself and with no financial help from reletives of any sort.
