I received the collection from NCO on behalf of Verizon Wireless. I immediately called Verizon Wireless, they confirmed no outstanding balance with them. Verizon placed a call to NCO and stayed on the line as a 3rd party.
NCO only asked my last 4 digits of SS# then said "oh wrong person you just return the letter return to sender" Not good enough this is the second time this has happened same reply as last time. I thanked Verizon rep and called NCO once again and asked to speak to a supevisor, who was very rude and stated my collection specialist was corret just return the letter to us. Your name has been remover from our data base.
Anyone knows you can do a search on the net and find many people with the same names. I don't think return to sender is a viable answer.
