Advertised a genuine Mint Ladies Rolex DateJust all original on eBay I recieved a $20 FAKE for my $3,395.00!

On 12/15 I won an auction on ebay for a Ladie's Rolex DateJust 18k & SS watch (ebay item# 71661531). The watch was being auctioned by Melrose Jewelers. The listing they advertised it on ebay with stated the watch was " a genuine all original Rolex" and went on to state that "we have thoroughly inspected this watch and certify its authenticity." They had a substantial quantity of ebay transactions which allowed them to use the title: "Power Seller" on their ebay member profile. This is a way ebay leads the buyer to believe that the seller has earned a reputation for successful transacting and can be trusted more than a regular individual or entity who sells or auctions an item.

Melrose Jewelers contacted me for payment and asked me to send the money via wire transfer to their Washington Mutual bank account. I complied and wired them $3,395.00. I received the watch approx. 10 days later. Upon examining it I found it to be largely counterfeit.By this I mean that it was not "genuine, all original nor authentic" as they had advertised. It was a 1959 LadyDate Rolex watch case completely fitted with aftermarket or counterfeit components. I am a professional jeweler and have dealt with Rolex watches for nearly 20 years. My professional appraisal of the watch I received would be worth $20-$50. Further inspection revealed that the only genuine component of this watch (being the watch case, not including the movement, dial or crystal) had no legible serial # as all Rolex watches do in order to verify authenticity.

Melrose has been extremely uncooperative and now has refused to respond to any and all phone calls, letters and emails. I have threatened them with legal actions on civil and criminal levels but they don't seem to care. Please help me by doing whatever you can to prevent Kris Lee (sales manager) and whatever or whomever else comprises Melrose Jewelers from any further fraud. I have contacted and been contacted by numerous ebay members who were also scammed by Melrose. Thank you.
