I applied for a job at this store, and found the following questions on the application:

Age?
Marital status?
Gender?
Are you pregnant, or do you plan to become so within a year?
Are you planning to move anytime within the next year?
What race and ethnicity are you?
How old are you?

I called her on it, and she defended the questions, stating that they were necessary in order to ensure employee retention and prevent turnover.

Yeah. I was out the door.
