They promised to supply my wife and I with a homeowners warranty the second year of our ownership at no cost since we were supplied with a first year warranty by the seller. The selling agent and the mortgage agent both with Howard Hanna assured us we would get the warranty. Now that we are in our home and going into our second year they come up with an excuse that since I owned a home within three years of this purchase they can't supply the warranty.
We were never told this at anytime during the negotiation and purchase process and we were again assured at the escrow closing by the realtor that the warranty would be issued at the appropriate time at no cost. As a result we must now purchase the home warranty with our own funds.
